About Lingo Copilot Speaking
Lingo Copilot Speaking is an AI speaking-practice app for the IELTS, PTE Academic, PTE Core and TOEFL iBT® speaking tests. You answer exam-style questions out loud, with the test's timing, and get an estimated score and feedback on every answer, on the web and on Android. It is built by Tech Ale OÜ, a technology company registered in Tallinn, Estonia.

What Lingo Copilot Speaking is
Speaking is the part of an English test that is hardest to practise alone: you need someone to ask the questions, keep time and tell you what to fix. Lingo Copilot Speaking does that with AI. For IELTS, an AI examiner runs the interview as a live voice conversation. For PTE and TOEFL, every task runs with the test's preparation and answer times. After each answer you get an estimated score on the test's own criteria and specific feedback.
Every score is an AI estimate for practice, not an official score. How we score explains how the estimates are produced, what they are based on and where they can be wrong.
Lingo Copilot is not affiliated with, endorsed or approved by IDP, the British Council, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Pearson or ETS. Our practice questions are original, exam-style items, not real test content.

How the AI practice works
Choose your exam and what to practise
A single task, a part of the test or a full mock test. Questions are written for each exam's format and topics.
Answer out loud
For IELTS, an AI examiner asks the questions and follows up, like the face-to-face test. For PTE and TOEFL, the app plays the prompt, counts down the preparation time and records within the test's answer time.
Get an estimated score
Your recorded answer is transcribed and assessed for pronunciation and fluency from the audio; content and language are scored against the test's published criteria. How we score has the details for each exam.
Fix what matters
Feedback on every answer shows what lowered the estimate and how to improve it, so the next attempt targets your weakest criterion instead of starting over.
Two free scorers need no account: the IELTS Speaking scorer estimates your band from one recorded Part 1 answer, and the PTE Read Aloud scorer scores one Read Aloud answer.
What is free
- IELTS: the full Speaking evaluation, once per account.
- PTE: a quick score, and one full speaking mock test shared between PTE Academic and PTE Core.
- TOEFL iBT: one full speaking mock test.
- No credit card is needed for any free test. Everything else needs a plan; the Free plan never expires.

We publish speaking practice videos on our YouTube channel, Lingo Copilot Speaking on YouTube. The app is on the web at app.speaking.lingo-copilot.com and on Android on Google Play; one account works on both.

Lingo Copilot Speaking is built and operated by Tech Ale OÜ, a technology company registered in Tallinn, Estonia (registry code 16981307), which builds the Lingo Copilot family of AI language-exam coaches. Its other product, Lingo Copilot CCL, is practice for Australia's NAATI CCL test.
